KMart is a meer distant memory in my past! 80's & 90's KMart was the best store in the world, now my preference is Walmart and I think I am seeing less and less of Kmart. They are further away from me. Walmart is more of a convenience and way cheaper! Happy $hopping! :)

I go to check things when looking for something or other, I like the fact that they still have layway.  I just put a new Xmas tree on layaway and like the fact that I can pay something every  week.

But I agree it does not feel the same and their clothing as not the best looks really cheap same as Sears, which bought K-Mart, I guess K-Mart will be going out of business soon they are not doing great.  But I will miss their layaway .

We only have one Kmart left in our area and it takes about 40 minutes to get to it.  It isn't worth the drive to shop there to me.
Have a wonderful day!

I like Kmart okay but they are really not around much. I am surprised they are still in business.

Walmart will love to see that many would rather shop there then K mart.I go there now and again not that much. Walmart is closer but so crowded and Target is good to has better clothes.

I have never been a fan of Kmart.  I think there are a lot of other stores that I like better.

KMart left the Houston market about a decade ago. Don't really miss it. But a former KMart around here is now an indoor mini-golf, go-kart place now.

Expect KMart to go the way of the dodo soon.

I know of only one KMart in our state and it would take about thirty five minutes to get to it which really kills all hope of savings when I account for the gasoline and time expense it would take to get there.  My son, and I, went to a KMart back in February because we needed a cooler and we happened to be driving right past a KMart. Kmart does not seem to be as popular any more.  I think that Target and Walmart have really surged to the fore front of large inexpensive department stores. Our family typically goes to Costco for all of our purchases.  The merchandise seems a bit more sturdy and we have never run into a problem when returning something.  The customer service is pretty good and Costco has locations seemingly every where.
