Shaming
« on: September 29, 2015, 05:58:31 am »
It amazes me at how far people will go these days to make someone else look bad or to try to get them fired from their job.  I just don't understand it.  These days EVERY PERSON in public not only has a camera but a video camera.  Even cheap phones have cameras.  It seems like people are just looking for things they can snap a picture of and put on the internet.  This same person would be mad as ever if it were done to them.

I don't get why people want to run around in public taking pictures of people and then running home and putting on facebook or the internet and making fun of or making someone else look bad.

I guess I just don't get how people can be so mean.  And sadly some of the meanest are people who pretend to be such good people.

Thoughts?

It really disturbs me that people can be so mean and hateful to other people.  And kids can be the very worst!  Back in the early 60's when I was in high school there were a few kids in my classes that were always getting made fun of for no real reason at all.  Its sad and getting sadder all the time.

The passion for revenge is strong and sometimes almost overwhelming.Positive relationships build political capital, so you need to have as many of them as possible. If you are widely viewed as a trustworthy, helpful colleague, then adversaries will find few opportunities to cause you any serious harm.

Facebook is the reason for a lot of fights and problems. People should stop using it.

I am actually not really talking about people who know each other.  But people who go into a business and take pictures of the employees with the intention of trying to get them in trouble or fired.  Or like we have talked about before the "people of walmart" pictures.  I refuse to look at those.   There are people who are doing the best the can.  Yes their clothes may not match and may look junky but maybe they can't afford to buy new clothes.  Or the ones making fun of people who are over weight.  Yes, some people just eat too much but there are people who have medical problems that cause weight gain.

And then it seems when a picture is posted online, say of an employee at a restaurant, then everyone jumps on the band wagon putting that person down when in reality you have no idea what the whole story is.  I know there have been a lot of suicides because of bullying and internet bullying and honestly I am surprised there are not a whole lot more.  : (

Yes, we live in a pathetic sad world.

You know you are right and it is sad - there are so much bigger issues and problems in this world we should concentrate on being kind to each other not shaming each other and causing each other problems.  Oh well maybe things will turn around.

This is so sad, it is the world we are living in.   Posting negative pictures on the internet make it easy for them to watch other people suffer.

I doubt he "deserved it".  And that's my point.  Everyone has a still shot camera and a video camera on them at all times and just run around with their face in somebody else's business looking for something to take a picture of.  A while back a guy was arrested for videoing 3 young people who were in a bad car accident.  He can be heard of the video telling them how stupid they are.  He offered no help although his stupid self was inside their over turned car videoing.  Seems like one of them may have died.  All he cared about was his video and putting it on the internet.  Of course "people" are to blame also because they look at the pictures, comment on them, and share them.  If these people didn't get attention they would stop doing it.  There would be no point.
