Do you eat Apples?

Today, 09-19, is International Eat an Apple Day! Do you believe that eating an apple a day will keeps the doctor away?  What variety of apple you do you enjoy?  My daughter loves the pink lady and the asian apple, I cook with the granny smith; I made the apple dumplings with this type. I found asian apple recipes too. We go to apple hill for a road trip. ENJOY!

I love apples, fresh, in a pie, caramel, candied, canned, dried or in a salad.  We have a few big beautiful apple trees that we never get apples from and one teeny tiny 6 foot tree that gave us 6 five gallon buckets of really really good JonaFree red apples this year.  So, I am baking, peeling, canning and making applesause so I can enjoy them this winter

I eat apples often they are one of my favorite fruits.  I normally eat Gala apples and also use them in my smoothies, what a treat.

We always have apples in the house. We have one transparent apple tree that makes awesome apple sauce and a gravenstein for munching. I also like to buy Honey Crisp, Gala, Braeburn, Pink Lady and a few others depending on the prices in the store.

I had no idea yesterday was International Eat an Apple Day. Yes I do like to eat apples. I like to eat the Golden Delicious variety with a chunk of cheddar cheese but I like to cook and bake with the Granny Smith variety. I make a wonderful apple crumple which is very easy to make. You saute sliced granny smiths in a little olive oil and sugar until they are softened. Then you top with a crumble mixture which is made with a sugar, flour and butter mix.

I like apples. As a matter of fact, apples are one of my favorite fruits. I like to hear the crunchy sounds as  I bite the apple.

I love apples, but I rarely ever buy them. I did plant 2 apple trees a couple years ago, but they didn't do well.

I like them but hate the peel. I like apple stuff though (example= pies, LOL). I like Fall because apple flavored items start popping up all over from coffee to cakes.

I like apples, my family of course loves apples cooked any which way. My neighbor has an apple tree and it was loaded. So I went over a few weeks ago and picked a bushel and canned them. Sure are nice in the winter. Now am going to have to go pick pears off of my sisters pear tree and will be canning them.  When winter comes I know we will have goodies to eat. I also have to make cherry jelly this winter. I canned the juice and then do a lot of that in the cooler weather. Makes the house smell so good and it is good eating.

Apples are very healthy, and it can be made into a lot of thing, like apple sauce, apple pie, apple juice
