Yeah, it is pretty obvious that consuming toothpaste is not a wise idea.

Wow, that's something I haven't heard of. I really do not think that's a good idea for children or anyone for that matter to consume toothpaste.

I'm not suggest anyone to eat them especially kid's.  But if you accidentally swallow it I think it would be fine.

hey, if you give a child toothpaste that's candy flavored and scented why become surprised if that child starts guzzling down a few toothpaste here and there.

I get an all natural toothpaste for kids, just because I worry about what they will swallow just brushing their teeth.....I cannot imagine letting them eat it right out of the tube on purpose.

Yeah, eating toothpaste is not a good idea. Some of my friends are nurses and they say that swallowing a large amount of regular toothpaste may cause stomach pain and possibly lead to intestinal obstruction.

I've seen photos of children sucking on the tube of toothpaste.
my mom never allowed us to do that when I grew up.
most of the name brand toothpastes are no good.
people are starting to realize a lot of things and are making corrections in their lives.
they are looking at labels and paying attention to ingredients.
Don't eat the toothpaste!!

I really think your stomach can have some serious damage done to it for putting toothpaste in it contiguously especially for children.

toothpaste does not have any nutritional value. People should not consume this product because of the level of mercury found in it. When I use it to brush my teeth, I use a small portion of it.

Eating toothpaste is NOT a good idea. I know all parents would like for their kids to look forward to brushing their teeth, but letting them eat the toothpaste is not the way to accomplish this.  You probably couldn't get too much fluoride that way, but who wants to take the risk!

It's completely fine to eat a little toothpaste. Eat too much and you might get sick to your stomach, but it's not going to cause serious damage as some of you have falsely claimed.

I'm pretty sure if you eat toothpaste, nothing will happen except the funny taste.
