Can we talk about social issues?

I want to discuss problems going on in society. Anything from world hunger to the presidential election I feel like this can be a place for you to share your opinion on what's going on in calm discussion

We need to focus on what we want more of, not what we find undesirable.  Be the change you want to see.  Teach by example.  Most of all remember the golden rule.   :peace:

My only comment is why is Trump in this election?yeah he's rich but his comments about every one shows that he's not a fair man. He needs to make tv shows if he has so much money and time on his hands.

I would suggest the Debate sub-folder for this.

Just to say...

No person is 100% fair or correct on anything. Every person has said something that would be considered offensive by the recipient of said comment.

If you're looking for perfection in a politician, you're not gonna find it.

Just my two cents.

A discussion implies that both parties (or more) are listening as well as speaking.  Once you bring up social issues I fear many people stop listening.

I like to talk about social issues.  As for Trump as a candidate, you have to admit, at least he is entertaining!

In a calm discussion?  lol.  No.  When you start talking about things like the election or even problems in society (and there are several threads about this already) tempers flair and tensions run high.  People get mad.  And most people can't seem to just state their opinion (like on the election candidates) without slamming or putting down or calling names to the party that is different from theirs.

I have also noticed if you are republican EVERYTHING wrong is the democrats fault.  And if you are democrat EVERYTHING wrong is the republicans fault.  smh.
