do you make home made cakes or pies

i do 99%of the time my family likes when i make any thing from scratch and it makes me happy that they ask and love when i do

The chef here makes most of the desserts from scratch.
I can tell when he doesn't because of the taste.

I don't have the time, and I have found that it is cheaper just to buy it from like Costco or Sam's club.  Their food is quite tasty -- except the cakes from Sam's Club, those are just too sweet.

I am baking more now that I"m not working outside of the home.   Right now it's a bit hot  to be baking anything, even with the air conditioner on having the oven on heats up the house.   Hopefully I'll do more when the weather cools a bit.  Have always wished i could bake without following a recipe exactly but I certainly can't.   Wish I could understand the formula but hey nothing wrong with following a recipe.

I do make cakes from scratch, but truthfully I have never made any pie.

I don't however; it might be nice for me to learn how to make gluten free pies.  I have a gluten free brownie recipe that I really like.

Sometimes from scratch, but I do keep some cake mixes on hand. because sometimes I need to bake one up in a hurry. But like Wed. my neighbor my neighbor called to let me know her husband passed away the night before and her family was coming in. I quickly make a cake to take over. But I use a cup of milk and 1 stick (1/2 cup) of melted butter and of course the eggs that is called for. It makes such a much better cake that way. some people even think it is homemade.  I have a meal cooking right now in the crock pot I will take over  this evening.

Yes, I always bake my cake and cupcakes too. If there is a birthday in the family im the one baking the cake.

I made a raspberry pie last year from scratch and I made cake-mix cake this year.  That's about it for me.  I'm more of a cookie-baker.
