browser plugins

I was just reading an article from "how to Geek" saying that browser plugins are on their way out.
very very interesting.
surfing has become like fishing--- fishing for your own solutions when Windows keeps upgrading.
There are still people using XP Windows operating system.
boy, when you are left behind, there isn't much support.
thank goodness for geeks who guide us. I know someone who built his own computer.
not everyone can do that, now can they?
