Ha ha nice job. Love mixing up and not telling people, waiting to see if they notice. You would be surprised how often people can't tell the difference (self included)

It never occur to me to use yogurt, then again I am one of the few people that cannot eat yogurt, I do not like it cannot even swallow it,  but I am willing the try it on a lasagna, next time I make one from scratch.  I do use cottage cheese as well as riccota, parmesan, mozarella and cream cheese.  Mix them all together with a mixer and 2 eggs and then add them to the lasagna as One, is bette and spreads better and more even

Never heard of putting cottage cheese in it either.  I've only made lasagne once and that was years ago.  It was expensive to make.

My guess is, if we understand the science behind cooking, we would be able to substitute ingredients more easily. I'm a good cook, but I'm not very experimental as I can only cook from recipes in my head that I have cooked many times before. But when I watch cooking shows and they substitute one ingredient for another, I wish I had been to culinary school!

That sounds yummy. It is improvisations that sometimes come out the best.

Lasagna is delicious. There are so many different ways to make it. I would never have thought to use yogurt.

Glad it turned out well for you. I'm not ready to venture out and put yogurt my lasagna just yet, so I'll stick with the ricotta.

Sounds good.  I seldom have the time to make lasagna; so, I usually cheat and buy Stouffer's frozen lasagna!  It is the closest thing to homemade I have been able to find.

Sweet.  Nice to know that yogurt can be substituted for cottage cheese when making Lasagna.  I love lasagna; however, I have to make sure it's gluten free if I eat it.

Thanks for sharing your tip.
Have a great day!
