Nope.  I don't question my belief in Jesus.  He is my Saviour and Friend. I will never be ashamed of Him.

For the love of God, people! Janice was right, the question had nothing to do with whether you believe in God or not.
People believe all sorts of things in areas that have nothing to do with God.
And if you never question, it's not belief, it's hope. That what you believe to be so, is.

Hitch, the bible that we have (yes, ALL of them!) are translations of translations, of translations. A word here, a word there, and the whole meaning is changed.
So while I may read the bible, and even study it out, I recognize how many mens hands it has passed through, (men seeking power, men with their own agendas) and don't take it as the infallible word of God.

Men used to believe that the earth was flat, that if you went too far, you would fall off the edge.
Men used to believe that the sun revolved around the earth.
That a solar or lunar eclipse meant that the gods, or God, were displeased.
That a birthmark was caused by something the mother saw while carrying.

So, why don't people believe these things now?

Because someone questioned their beliefs.

And I don't drink beer, thanks. "A little wine for your stomachs' sake..."

Have the right attitude. Accept the Bible as God’s Word. Be humble, since God opposes the proud. (1 Thessalonians 2:13; James 4:6) However, avoid blind faith—God wants you to use your “power of reason.”—Romans 12:1, 2.
Pray for wisdom. “Do not lean upon your own understanding,” the Bible says at Proverbs 3:5. Instead, “keep on asking God” for wisdom in understanding the Bible.—James 1:5.
Be consistent. You will benefit much more from Bible study if you do it regularly rather than sporadically.—Joshua 1:8.
Study by topic. A topical study, in which you analyze what the Bible says about a particular topic or subject, is an effective way to learn what the Scriptures teach. Start with “the beginning lessons,” as it were, and then “go forward to more mature (advanced) teaching.” (Hebrews 6:1, 2, Easy-to-Read Version) You’ll find that you can compare scripture with scripture and learn that various parts of the Bible explain each other, even the parts that are “hard to understand.”—2 Peter 3:16.
Get help from others. The Bible encourages us to accept help from others who understand the Bible. (Acts 8:30, 31) Jehovah’s Witnesses offer a free Bible study program. Like the early Christians, they use Scriptural references to help others discern what the Bible really teaches.—Acts 17:2, 3.

BTW....if those that thought earth was flat read bible they would knew truth...

The Bible’s Harmony With Scientific Facts. The Bible, at Job 26:7, speaks of God as “hanging the earth upon nothing.” Science says that the earth remains in its orbit in space primarily because of the interaction of gravity and centrifugal force. These forces, of course, are invisible. Therefore the earth, like other heavenly bodies, is suspended in space as if hanging on nothing. Speaking from Jehovah’s viewpoint, the prophet Isaiah wrote under inspiration: “There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth, the dwellers in which are as grasshoppers.” (Isa 40:22) The Bible says: “He [God] has described a circle upon the face of the waters.” (Job 26:10)

A book thats been around 1000s of years.Translated into 1000s of languages.Predicts future as in Jerusalem destroyed in 70ce and the warning Jesus gave to his followers when to flee that was seen in 66ce.

I dont need to go on.I understandthe main reason why so many are not supportive of it.They side what satan told Eve that mankind would be better off independent of HIS rulership.Well all you have to do is look at 6000 yrs of mans history ruling himself with satan.

It speaks volumes. But yet those same people that want their independence are the first to complain about gun laws etc.

Man has dominated himself to his own injury Eccl 8:9

How many times has that scripture been translated Paints?

Look man just fess up like many others.Just say you wanna do your own thing. You have freedom of choice. You and all others arent forced to obey HIS rules!!But be wise.....look around you and see where world is without HIM!!

Just because the Bible has been translated in many different ways (so everyone will get to read it and understand it) doesn't mean it's untrue. If you are a Christian you don't doubt the Bible and when you read it you are lead by the Holy Spirit for understanding. And if you still don't understand it, Pray for wisdom, understanding and knowledge before you begin.

People who doubt the Bible are still living under the Kingdom of Satan

I wasn't necessarily talking about belief in God with the original post.
As far as that, "the devil also believes, and trembles."
So what? We do no better than the devil when we say I believe.
There has to be more than just belief.

Since no one has addressed this particular point thus far, there is more to it than just believing in God. Almost everyone says they believe in some type of "god" or "cosmic being" or "universal creator" or "intelligent designer" that is nameless and faceless and uncaring.

We also have to believe that God sent Jesus down to Earth as a man to die to save us from our sin. The wages of sin is death and he paid the price for us.  It's not just an acknowledgment that God exists but the relationship that we have with Him and His Son. God loves us unconditionally and He's the only one who ever will. He wants us to give our hearts to Him.  :angel11: Try it. You'll like it!

It won't solve every problem, but it's easier to get through your "stuff" with some faith to help you along. Prayer solves a lot of problems that we are helpless to solve by ourselves.  :notworthy:

I don't see the reason for such a reaction. The question was so ambiguous (To wit: "Do you ever question what you believe or why you believe what you do?") that it seems virtually impossible to take it as a question about anything less than your personal convictions,I.E, Spiritual Beliefs.

And on that score, no, I'm very confident in my beliefs, knowing the Bible is God's Word and very trustworthy and accurate.

Who would have better faith and belief than Jesus. The first of all creation and the image of his father.

Yet his humiliation and agony must have been so great on that torture stake that he called out to his father,"why have you forsaken me"

Peter said he would never betray Jesus. And we all know he denied him 3X!!

Less not we forget we are all imperfect creatures and God sees the heart condition of us all what we really are!

Have to call you out on this one again,my friend. Jesus was not created. He is part of the Trinity. A member of the Godhead and thus not a created being. "
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.  Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.  In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Also as a matter of historical evidence, the Romans executed people on crosses, not "torture stakes."
