Google
« on: August 29, 2015, 08:03:14 am »
Google has announced that they are taking away a plugin in September. I would frequently get the message about shockwave not working on their browser. I saw the specific announcement and have left them again for the third time.

I thought browser companies were suppose to make their products user friendly. Opers has no operating plugins at all. I  am hunting for a browser that will play my jumble site. Adobe flash is a pain.

Not really sure about this.  I use google all the time but have to switch to exploder for some things that won't work with google.  Sometimes I go to firefox and that seems to be pretty consistent.

I haven't had much experience with Chrome but use FF all the time. Once in a while I'll get a shockwave crash on FF. Don't really know what that's about since 98% of the time it works.

funny thing about this all browsers are supposed to be user friendly till the browser company over complicates things and ad's and ad's  and ads more crap we don't need that will just lag us up when we try to go to our fav sites. It's almost like the sites that make the browsers are evil and working against us

A LOT of browsers have problems with Adobe Flash.  It's the product, not your browser.  It's old and outdated (like 8-track tapes) and the world of technology is wanting to move away from Flash (effectively killing it off) in favor of HTML5.  The problem with Flash is that it doesn't work for Android or iOS users, and since the world has gone "mobile," Android and iOS users are a BIG part of the population.  HTML5 is much more mobile-friendly.

Here's a neat website to see how well your browser supports HTML5:  https://html5test.com/
