Why do stores put holiday things out two months early

The Walmart here in town has started hanging their Christmas decorations up already. They got Halloween decorations also. Ghosts, goblins, and St. Nick--strange.

Just like after those holidays are over everything is on clearance....all about making that money.

Putting stuff out 2 months early is not a big deal.  Especially if you decorate for a holiday several weeks before the actual holiday.  I am actually wondering more WHY people get so upset over this.  I hear complaints all the time.  We have Christmas stuff out already and people are complaining about it.  WHY?  What does it matter?  If you are offended then stay out of that part of the store.  Who cares?

It's the same reason why Black Friday basically starts the day before (or known as "The Day Before Black Friday"): to get that extra edge in sales.

People put up their holiday decorations more than month before, so why wouldn't they have them out to sell? It makes too much sense.

it is worse then that hallmark puts out Christmas ornaments in june july in grogery stores.. ughhhh..
