School starts soon

My daughter took off for college two and a half weeks ago (Freshman year) and my Son started private college prep school two weeks ago. My daughter has adjusted so well that she even blew us off for a dinner this coming Sunday night. My son appears to be doing his homework per the emails we get from each of his teachers so things seem to be going pretty good. The first round of additional money needs requests appears to have passed.  My son's school supplies were pretty much just clothes which he went out and got himself. Last year the school required everyone to get an IPad and all of his books and homework is on the IPad. He even takes his notes on the IPad.  We bought a new laptop for our daughter and that seems to be doing the trick as well.

i am so glad i finished school early, now work is more fun, because there is money involved, i would hate going back to school

I am ready for school to start.  As soon as the school year stopped last year, I started buying paper, pencils, crayons, etc. at the dollar store and putting them away for my grandson.  I would buy one or two things whenever I got paid ,so by the time that school start I had almost everything. 

I thought the list had grown ,but someone told me that they ask students to bring in extra ,so they can share with the students that can't afford to get everything.  I don't mind it if it  is something cheap ,but I am not sure if I want to supply a calucation for someone else child.

School here in Ohio has been in session for a week now,,,,  some places its been in session for two weeks.  we hardly had any summer and now the poor kids are back at it and now its 90 degrees.  I really feel sorry for them.  It seems like they just get out and then they go right back.  Wonder when they will start going all year round ??

School started last week where I live.  When I was in school we went back the day after Labor Day.
