Frank Gifford, A Former Nfl player and Long Time Monday Night Football Announcer Passed away Sunday August 9th. he was 84 years old. my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends

I remember him a bit as a player but mostly for play by play announcer for Monday Night Football with Howard Cosell and Don Meredith!

They are all gone now but you enjoyed Monday night with them if you were a fan of NFL!

I didn't realize until this morning the woman on the Today Show, his wife, that she was married to a man almost 30 years older than her.  When they were first talking about it when I turned the tv on I thought it was her father.  : (

Kathy Lee Gifford was not only married to him for many years, he was the father of her children and he was unfaithful to her which caused a lot of publicity at the time but they did finally remain together.  He never looked his age.

Condolences to his family. This year has been a plethora of celebrity deaths.

He made football understandable and enjoyable.  He was one of numerous reasons  that I majored in Communications.  Gifford will be missed.   May he rest in peace.

I remember watching him on MNF all the time as a kid. Al,Frank & Dan! Those were the days! R.I.P Frank.
