Cooking timer

Do you use a cooking timer when preparing meals in the oven or do you keep checking your food every so oven?

I use a timer, much easier to keep track.

I use a timer, I check on it too, but I use the timer so if I get distracted by something else it will not burn.

Use a timer - sometimes I set it for a little less time such as 5-10 minutes and then check it just in case because some ovens don't match up with the recipes especially if it is a new recipe and you aren't sure about it.

I use a timer on the stove but do as debidoo and set it for a little less time so it doesn't get overdone.

I use timers whether I am cooking in oven ,stove or microwave. I do check things often but depending on what I am cooking I can get distracted and forget the timing.

Most of the time I do. You never ever know when you might lose track of time. It is a good way to remind you of other things too.

I use a clock.  Just keep my eye on the clock.  Haven't always been successful but for the most part I just watch the clock.

Never used to; but I usually do something else while it's cooking then forget it is in the oven or on the stove...so now I use one all the time

I like to use a timer. I usually forget when I put something in the oven.

It depends on what I am cooking. For example I always use a timer when poaching eggs, but yesterday I smoked a pork roast for 5 hours and didn't use a timer.

I always use a time. But will set it to go off about 15 minutes before  it is time to take out to check how things are going.  I tend to  have other things going on and forget the time otherwise.  And also some things just cook faster then others.

Yes, whenever I bake something I set my timer.  I'm too busy multitasking to worry about it.
