Threat has been detected- Video Carousel

Every time I click on Video Carousel to watch a video, my AV program pops up and blocks it.
Not the video, but the initial window that says "continue."
When I go on to the video, the initial window changes to search page, and that's when the AV pops up with threat detected.

I got that today with the Vidyspot video.  When I clicked on it, it opens an "ad" page and then another page with the video.  It was the "ad" page that Avast! blocked.

I got the same with Vidyspot on the ad page.  I also have Avast as virus protection.

I have a mac and I have not received this message with either video.  I do not have any virus protection except what Apple puts in computers.

However, a couple of months ago, I had a real problem with adware all over chrome and safari.  I could not use either. I thought that I was going to have to make a visit to the genius bar at the Apple store but I was able to do some online research using Firefox, which had not been affected, and correct my situation.

I am on many sites like FC and I must have clicked on a pop up that set off the adware. Fortunately for me, adware is not a virus.

I lost my laptop because of fusion cash adware viruses. I just lost another computer and now you got me wondering. Also while on fusion if you have an older lap top it will run the fan, get the computer hot. I think that is why radio was taken down. It messed up computers. That's why I comment when someone is getting 3 surveys a day and a lot of videos in a short time that they must have a new computer.

Well, Adware is NOT a virus for anyone, no matter what you're using, but it can still give you headaches because the adware can be invasive and still cause problems like a virus can.  I'm glad a lot of the anti-virus programs block this junk now.

Think the issue is fixed.  Tried both Video Carousel and Vidyspot this morning and both played with no alerts.

I have gotten that multi ad screen alot when clicking videos that open another window.  My anti-virus "blocks" a threat with that screen and the video page is no issue, all plays and credits even with the anti-virus blocking what ever.  I try to use Fire Fox exclusively for Fusion Cash,  Chrome for banking and important stuff and IE for general surfing.  I had read to dedicate browser to financial/banking.  I don't know if it will keep things safer/cleaner but I figure if Trash screws up the browser,  I can still do what needs to be done.

this just happened to me my antivirus is nortons  and they blocked these videos. my advise is to stay away from those videos that displayed these messages
