It depends on what they did and if they are innocent.

I've already faced that.. My son was high on drugs, and the only way to get him help, was to have him arrested. He is clean now, and has been married for 15 years now, with two boys.

I don't have kids, but more than likely I would if I knew I wouldn't get caught.

Wait till you have kids.. Would you rather visit them in jail, or visit them in the graveyard????

Depends on the circumstances. Normally I would say of course not to a question about lying.  But our system does not work. The dishonest have ruined it for the honest so we have to play their game to survive.

it depends on the situation. like someone else said, sometimes telling the truth is actually better for them.

All depends on the crime/if they did it...if they like ran a stop sign or something Id probably lie...but if they killed someone or were doing drugs then nah, i wouldnt lie to save 'em...

It would depend on the situation and what I thought was best for him. Isn't that what parents always do? If it's a drug problem then jail might help. But under most circumstances I'd probably lie, even if I somehow had to do the time for him.

I agree!! i normally don't lie and hate being lied to but yeah who doesn't anyhow lol i think it would totally depend on what they did if i believe they did it.. and so on.. most of all if i believe that not helping them by lying will help them more in the long run i would not lie no matter wat. I think that could be a lesson that would change their life for the best. But again it depends on many things.
