Did you see the latest on her?  She and son Bobby were dressed as Lucy and Ricky for, I believe a twitter or a ad, don't know which one.  But Bobby had on dark makeup to look Cuban, and this caused a huge uproar!

People are seriously nuts today.  They'll find ANY excuse to be "offended" and try to make a huge mountain out of a mole hill.  These are the people who really need to find something to do with themselves.  They must be so full of self-hate they have to let off steam on someone else.  I say, Get a Day Job!

Not only that but people go out and try to get people who are working to do or say something they can be offended by so they can get attention and try to get a working person in trouble.  Not sure what people get out of that.

Wow! People are complaining about a white guy changing his appearance to look more like a famous Cuban, and yet are fine with having Rachael Dolezal -- a white woman -- doing the same in order to actually claim that she is black and gets elected as the NAACP president in Oregon  :confused1:

Gotta love double standards...

Seeing that picture I never would have thought she was black anyway.  Just well tanned.

There is no pejorative for "brown face" that I know of;  it's BLACK FACE that is offensive due to the past history of black people not allowed on stage & white actors painting their faces black & pretending to be a stereotypical black person who was usually portrayed as an imbecile or comedic, that is why black face is offensive (in simplistic terms).     People think they should be offended by someone trying to be famous Cuban in a costume, so dumb.   Like the Wayans brothers can dress and paint their faces white & it is not offensive...  it's not a double standard.  In my opinion, to be offended by it, actually makes light of what the black people have historically endured and overcome, people were not treated with the same respect back in the day.

I haven't seen the ad, but I don't think it should offend anyone. I don't think they were making fun of anyone and some people are just looking for something to complain about.

Here is the thing - Slavery ended a LONG time ago.  No black person alive today was ever a slave.  And if you read history you also know there were white slaves as well.  I have been treated badly because of the way I look.  I have never tried to start a law suit against someone because they are a jerk.  Then again it only works if you are black or muslim.  Just stating facts.  The fact is people need to get a grip and stop over analyzing everything everyone else does and just looking for reasons to be offended.  Or reasons to get someone in trouble.  OR being jealous because someone else worked hard and has money and you are too lazy to work yourself so you just want to sue and take someone else's money.

I think people need to "get over" all the politically correct crap and just not comment if they don't have anything nice to say.
