On the paid to post site for the events of the day, there was an event that said in 1956 there was an explosion of seven trucks of dynamite that killed 1000-1200 people and destroyed 2000 bldg.s.  It wasn't in California, it was in Cali Columbia.  Well, you can't believe everything you read on the internet.

thats ok i was listening to a local radio station and the air personalty just finished talking about the american women soccer team and the song american woman was made a parody in the background. she then said that it wasnt lenny kravitz who did a remake of the song and the who  that never did that song. the Guess who did that song. so you cant believe everything you hear on the radio as well.

Actually from this Wiki, it looks like about 4000 people were killed and 12,000 injured by the explosion. Although the internet can't always be trusted, I do tend to trust Wikipedia since it is somewhat peer-reviewed in that people can edit the Wiki articles including experts that can go in and correct or clarify incorrect information.
