Does your brain shut off when you go to bed?

No, I usually read in bed until I get sleepy.  But if I've had a bad day and was tired, I then shut down to sleep right away.

Yes in fact I have something the neurologist I see for sleep apnea said causes my brain to be overactive even when I am actually asleep.  Wonderful causes my brain to think I'm awake even when I'm not - don't even remember what it is called but that is on top of all the thinking I do BEFORE I can go to sleep.  Oh well !!
