leftovers usually become meals for the next day so I don't have to cook EVERY day!!  Saves time & money.

I only have left over from Sunday to Monday and if anything is left after Monday my dog eats it. Well it depends on what it is.

If I have more leftovers than what I will be using in a couple of days, I will freeze them so I will have them for later.

We eat them as our meal the next days....it doesn't bother me to eat the same food several meals in a row.  It is better than throwing it away.

That's why it's leftover. if you threw it out it would be gone. Eat it as soon as possible!

My family appears to have an aversion to eating that hasn't been made with in the last five minutes-leftovers are totally out of the question.  That leaves the money pincher, now garbage disposal person, to take over. Nothing goes to waste as  re prepare it for my lunches. There are certain things that I do not eat that my family has specifically found an initial need for like Kale, muffins, and a cornucopia of junk food. They also like to leave food, milk and garbage  sitting out until it gets rotten. My family also seems predisposed to only drinking half of a water bottle an then leaving it sitting out for a few weeks so that someone else (me) can pick it up and dispose of it properly.  We have dual countertops in the kid's bathrooms that are completely cluttered and my wife uses 75% of our counter space and then encroaches on te last 25%.I live in a world of pigs!
That's sad! You should speak on it.

If I had a vacuum seal, I would use it. But I don't. So generally speaking, I place leftovers in single portion sizes into Ziploc Tupperware and then place it in the freezer. There are many times my husband comes home from the night shift and wants a quick, ready made meal, and it is perfect for that purpose. In fact sometimes I deliberately cook a meal for 8 or 12 (we only have 4 family members) and I will freeze the rest. It makes sense that I double the portions as it doesn't take any longer to cook once, but it means I don't have to go through the whole cooking process again.

I package my left overs in storage containers and either store them in the refrigerator or the freezer.  Normally they taste better the second time around.   ;)
