Prisons
« on: May 14, 2015, 05:39:28 pm »
Picture this you are asked to design and run a prison to your liking what would your prison look like and how would you run it?

My prison would be in the middle of the desert
Just a large open area surrounded by  a tall chainlink fence... Give 20-30 feet between that and have another fence but this time it will be a tall large high voltage fence.. In Between the high voltage fence and the chainlink fence i will have hanging stations.. One on Each side... That will be for the people who have taken a life and really do not deserve a second chance...

I would supply  1 Large Cardboard box for shelter,  a couch throw, 1 canteen and maybe even a pillow. My prisoners would get a choice between bologna sandwitch or peanut butter sandwitch twice a day and a water truck would fill up their canteens twice a day as well.
(one in the morning and one in the evening)

This concludes my perfect and prison and exactly how i would run it

I would make one in the arctic and make the prisoners do their routines in sub-zero weather.

That's an interesting question and one I haven't given much thought to. However, in the case of Jodi Arias I gave this a lot of reflection. I always felt it would be appropriate that she should have photographs of the crime scene plastered all over her cell walls. Photographs of the victims 29 stab wounds enlarged on her ceiling and a door sized poster of the slit in Travis' neck on the back of her cell door. There should not be an inch of wall empty of evidence and should she dare to open her eyes, she will be reminded of something.

Hahaha!  Sounds like Sheriff Joe's Tent City!  There's ALWAYS a "Vacancy" here!

You would have 4 walls made of block windows made of bars (like in the old western shows.  A roof and concrete floors.  No tv, no electrical outlets for anything extra in the cells.  It's prison not a luxury hotel.  You would eat bread and get only water to drink.  And you get it once a day.  I am tired of prisoners who commit horrible crimes eating better than people who work.

Thats why there is no fear in many of them to commit a crime.Especially if they have no family too. They get a roof over their heads,3 meals a day, place to sleep and shower, cable tv etc.

Those that go to work and struggle to pay bills are the ones in jail it seems!!

I do not like prisons! I prefer the Walmart concept of "outdoors living".

The prisons are over crowded and the death penalty needs to be enforced for killers/murderers so they don't need to build more prisons.
