I have seen tree house full homes.
I found out about Earth ships in New Mexico which provide full gardening and outdoor plumbing. No grocery shopping is needed.
There are small space apartments with the bathroom, kitchen. closets and desk in the walls. You pull them out. [Europe]
I saw a video yesterday showing a home that is 4 in 1 designed by a Spanish architect. The bottom basement is built in the ground for noise buffering. there is an elevator connecting all 4 homes. ....very spacious.
People are building homes from large containers recycled in the dumps.

I am really fascinated by the tiny house movement.

I have seen so very interesting homes in southern n.m. They are made from wine and beer bottles incased in cement, tires, bales of hay. I am sure I have missed some ingredients. Some are really nice inside.  I am still a died in the wool traditional though. Although!!!. Who knows someday it may come to some of us that the lumber is no longer avaible, if we don't quit  taking without replacing.
