Doggy Heaven
« on: April 07, 2015, 06:48:07 am »
Doggy Heaven has gained the most lovable, compassionate, dedicated companion ever placed on this Earth.  Our Tommy, a 13 year old Bichon Frise, passed away early Saturday morning after a very brief illness.  This wonderful creature was such a blessing to my family.  We got him as a 6-week old puppy one month after my husband became totally disabled.  He helped us get through the empty-nest syndrome when our daughter decided she had to grow up on us.  Our house seems so empty and lonely now.  He was a huge part of our family and lives.  He lived a very good life ~ better than a lot of humans.  He will forever be loved and remembered.
Have a wonderful day!

I am so sorry about your furry friend/family member. We have a 7 year old peek-a-poo and we treat her like a human. She even sleeps under the covers between me and my husband. Sometimes when I wake during the night she has her head poked out from the covers and her head rested on a pillow. She is the best dog I believe we have ever had. She is so sweet and lovable.

Awww, I'm so sorry, gaylasue.  May your beautiful boy rest in peace.  He gave his all and his unconditional love for a lot of years.  Since your home now feels so empty, do him the honor of adopting a shelter pet.  Your "new" boy could never take the place of your Tommy, but you'd be saving another life.  A new life that will give you as much love, friendship, and companionship as Tommy once did.  RIP, little man.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  This is the only dowside of owing a pet.  We treat and love them as family members, not animals, and our heart breaks when we lose one.  Again, I am so sorry.

I am so sorry for your loss, losing many of my fur babies myself its never easy, my pets are like a member of my family, sometimes it seems to take forever to heal, I hope that you can overcome your grief later down the road to give another pet a wonderful loving home

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I am so sorry for your loss ... to most of us our animals are not just pets but a part of the family.

I am so sorry for your loss!  They do become such an important member of our families.  We have a little mixed breed dog that our youngest daughter picked out at the animal shelter over 15 years ago.  She grew up and moved out but we got to keep our precious Jewels.  It is gonna hurt so much when he leaves us.  He has survived cancer once but we know his time with us is limited.  I have to think that the Lord will let us have our beloved pets in Heaven.  Again, sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is so difficult to get past- I lost my black lab Casey two years ago in December and I still miss her each day. I know I will see her again some day and I look forward to that day!

I'm sorry to hear that. I lost my 15 year old yellow lab October of last year. It was hard but she lived a good life.

Very sorry for your loss.  I've had fur-kids that I've lost & miss so much every day, it hurts and it's hard.  :'(   They truly are beloved family members and certainly know how to wrap their paws around our hearts, breaking it to pieces when they go.  Still, we are better for having them in our lives....and I think most of us, if given the chance...would adopt them all over again.

I am so sorry for the loss of your little dog.  It's hard I know as I have gone thru it quite a few times.  Some people find it easier to get another dog quickly while others need to wait awhile.
