Do You think Weed should be legal?

This issue seems as if it is only a matter of time before weed is legal medicinally, and the argument for recreational legalization is winning the battle as well more and more.  I don't even smoke myself but for some reason it's important to me to fight for this freedom of allowing people to put something in their body that doesn't affect anybody else.  It is also a moral issue on the grounds of people serving LIFE sentences still for non-violent drug offenses.  This generation is wising up to stuff like this, we don't want to pay to incarcerate people for weed anymore.  What do you think pros/cons of legalization?

Although I don't "smoke" myself; I think it should be legal and heavily taxed to help with the heavy burden on us taxpayers!  Those who "smoke" are going to buy it anyway!  Why not make them pay dearly?

I think weed should be used only in medical situations, for those with seizures or other health conditions where weed can make a difference then only for those cases it should be legal, other then that it should stay elegal. I don't smoke at all and I avoid those who smoke or smell like smoke, because I wish to breath fresh air!

It's been legal here in Colorado for well over a year. for those of us that don't smoke, it doesn't matter. People that come to visit are fascinated. I think the pot shops are an eyesore.

I don't care either way. I understand why people dislike the idea of legalizing it, but I don't really see what it would hurt.

I don't think weed should be legalized because too many people will abuse this substance and people will sell it to children.

I don't smoke.  But I say legalize it, regulate it, tax it!  It is something that we seem to be able to grow in the US,  so I see jobs from the growth/production.  Also I would think a safer product without harmful contaminants (whether intentional or not) would be sold than what is found from the shady local drug dealer.  I think once legalized it won't be a big deal any more.  Forbidden stuff is always more exciting.

I haven't really studied up on the matter so I don't have a definitive answer, but I feel like it might be better illegal, however if legalized I would tax up the waazoo.

i dont use weed but i think that it is no more harmful than tobacco

Yes I certainly do - I am 61 and I think the whole issue is ridiculous.  It is a natural substance, it helps people both emotionally and physically/medically and if anything should be illegal it should be liquor or tobacco which I refuse to believe doesn't cause way more problems.  Anyway everyone has their own beliefs.

It is legalize here in Washington. I am pretty sure there will be more and more States legalizing it in the future, and then some studies shoes the brains of those who used them and those who don't and those who are currently using them will have their brains shrink and shrink until I don't know what will occur. Maybe some think it only affects them but I would say it's not just them it affects all those who care about you. So I don't agree with it at all.

Absolutely I believe it should be legal.   It's happening anyway and personally I would rather be on the road with someone who has smoked a joint than someone who has consumed several drinks.   There are far too many people in prisons due to minor drug offenses.   I'm all for legalization.

No.  I also do not agree with it being used for medicine.  It is not a medicine.  It is a mind altering drug.  Nothing more.  Everyone can have their own opinion.  But this is mine.
