I love to work in my garden and to see things grow.  I work hard to make that happen and as soon as I get my stuff growing, the deer decides to jump the fence and have a feast.  Nothing left!  Any suggestions on how keep them out?

Have you tried hair from you hair brush on the fence.  Or a rag with gun oil on it?

I love gardening also. This year, I have seeded my tomato plants earlier than in other years in the aim of having a longer growing/ripening seasoning. Las year I had to pick my tomatoes a little early because of frost and then I had to ripen them in the house on trays. This worked well, but it meant they all ripened at the same time and I would have preferred a gradual harvest!

We are cleaning up the yard and getting things ready for planting. It is early here to plant a garden, but I want to be ready when it is time.  Fruit trees are blooming around town and it is way too early. We have had a lot of warm weather, but could have a freeze clear up into May. So  will just wait, but am getting ready to order some plants. they won't be shipped until time to be planted though.

We have already got a lot in the ground. Bean and peas are about 8 inches tall, strawberries and tomatoes are several inches high, the beets and carrots are just starting to peak up and the squash is already looking real healthy.

I have always heard that deer doesn't like the human scent and I also have a neighbor that goes out and urinate at the edges of his garden everyday and he has had no problem with deer

I don't really have any deer problems in my neck of the woods but there are always other predators which destroy a hard work such as insects and other critters. What are you planting this year?

i wish we had some deer to watch..we have lots of squirrels though...

My grandma used to hang cd disc and the flashing lights used to upset the deer
