Expecting Record Cold Weather

i'm here in ga and the past few days they have been saying this could one coldest stretches seen in some time, a lot of people are worried but hopefully people will be more prepared than last year

I'm in South Carolina.  Feel bad complaining because so many have these temps all the time BUT wow, I was not ready for this cold snap.  7-9 degrees here tonight without wind chill.   It is bitter out there.   Brrrrr

Yes, this cold is horrible. It's awful for those that have to walk to school and especially those that have to work outside. I'm thankful to work indoors.

it isn't fair to live in the south and have to deal with this cold weather on top of the sweltering heat! We get such extremes.

I live in the Midwest and I expect bad weather in the winter. I can take the cold pretty well, but when the wind takes the wind chills way down, that's really rough. 

I had to make deliveries today and the temperature was really cold. The snow was blowing all around too even though it wasn't snowing, just blowing around from all the wind. That made it even worse. However, the sun did shine and made it better at times.

I live in the Northeast (Upstate NY, originally from Long Island (which experienced the worst winter weather along with Boston, MA). Both sides of my driveway is just mountains of snow. I wish that my neighborhood would use the melters that Boston uses in order to eliminate most of the snow. There is literally no place else to put any falling snow...and it is VERY annoying.

Well Monday was a hole lot colder then today right know still close to temp of 0 win chill below 0 supposed to get to -25 to -30 below with the wind today.

I am in NC and we sure get some bi-polar weather here, 70 one day than 30 the next.  The 3" of sleet which packed in to a lovely thick sheet of ice on the driveway is just something else.  I grew up on Long Island and "snow" in the south is a total different breed.

set record low -7t today and still have a foot of snow on ground ready for spring.

I live i NC and we had the coldest weather this week in 80 years, it was 6 degrees this morning at 8am. Snow and ice.

  I am in central Florida and its 43 degrees with a freeze warning through the 20th.  I know that is mild compared to folks farther north but I am a flip flop wearing Florida girl and it is cold to me.  Course I am blessed not to have to go outside except for taking my little dog out.  It was so cold to me but I went out in my flannel nightgown which I just might stay in all day lol.

im also in sc...and we usually get the ice...but this cold weather is colder than usual...our power was out for 3 days...the house we live in has no heat so we use kerosene and an electrical heater...kerosene is the only thing that kept us warm the past few days...i will be so glad to see warmer weather get here...

I guess I shouldn't complain since it was only about minus 7 or 8 here this morning but I find that really cold.  I have to be out in it for an hour or so morning and night.  Tonight and tomorrow is going to be cold too, then Sat. it warms up only to go way down again on Monday.

We've had such a long cold spell here in upstate NY, that I don't think I'll ever get warm again!
