Ever think of going off into the woods and being a hermit?
« on: February 11, 2015, 10:25:06 am »
Just saw this article posted by a FB friend:

Kinda interesting, though as someone mentioned, thievery isn't anything to be proud of or admire.

Also take note, this guy was in MAINE for his winters! :snowman: :o

It's like the unibomber
He lived in the woods & was a hermit

I've no desire to rough it in the woods, I like all the modern conveniences.  I do wish life was less materialistic though, it would be simpler.

No not a hermit, I like my comforts too much. But there are times I would just like to go off by myself for a few days and not have to go for other people. Of course I would get a laptop to take with me to do my fusion cash with. Sometimes with the demands at home , doing  for my dad and my sister trying to tell me what all I need to do for my dad long distance  I want to leave.  She lives in Alaska and has no idea what I do.

I don't even like camping so I wouldn't want to actually live in the woods. I wouldn't mind living on the beach though. More open space, better weather, and less weird creatures to sneak up on you

Not me!  I am a people person!  I hate the woods, loathe camping, and I need the interaction with people as well as my computer!

I would be well-suited for life in the woods. I'm already a loner, so as long as I had a cabin, I'd be fine.  Wait a minute. I forgot my family. I'd miss my family.  Okay. I'm not going to the woods today.

Your whole family could always move into the woods with you

Would be a great way to leave everything behind. But I am sure it would not be long before I would miss technology. NO microwave to reheat what is cold.NOt short drive to the store for what I forgot from my list. Many more things as time went on.I do love TV,too. How much of a hermit are we talking about? I'd only do it as a camping trip for awhile, then back to the city!

Well before I met my husband I wanted to be a hermit but since he has been in my life I wouldn't do it without him.

yes I've wished, only I'd  have a way-cool treehouse with internet/electricity, running water and NOT in Maine.  No thievery either.   :D
