I typically take mine down over Martin Luther King Jr weekend because I typically have a 3-day weekend.  I still see some neighbors with their exterior lights up and they make me smile.  I have lighted wreath strings that I put on an over hang around my front entry and living room - give some nice light in those areas that are typically dark in the winter - so I leave just those up until about March when it starts getting light out.
