Fruit infused water
« on: January 20, 2015, 04:25:59 pm »
I have been doing research for days on infused water and recipes and the benefits of drinking them. Has anyone ever tried it? If so did you see any results from drinking it?

Water that you infuse with fruits. For example one recipe called for thin slices of 2 large oranges, one lemon, half of a cucumber and a handful of fresh mint. You put it in a large pitcher with like 12 or 13 cups of water and put it in the fridge overnight and drink it .

I've tried it but it's nothing something I do often. I have no problem drinking plain water and already eat fruit on its own.

So it basically just having a lot of slices of citrus fruit soak in water overnight??  Is that what the "infuse" part is?

I tried it a couple of times and it actually taste good, but I don't drink it all the time though. I also like to drink plain water while squeezing lemons in it to give it some flavor.

Sounds like it'd be something nice for the summer. Don't think I'd do it all the time. Seems like a waste of fruit. I get the bulk of my water intake from tea.
