Red Velvet cake

I like red velvet cake. That's the one I usually buy for any occasion. I am wondering; is it healthier than the other cakes?

we love red velvet cakes also with some cream cheese icing..not sure that it is healthier than any of the other ones,though..most likely all about the same unfortunately..you might could substitute some applesauce for the oil.that might help some..good luck...

It isone of my favorite cakes. I got a cup mix as a gift. It was really good. Not to hard to mix up either. There is just something about the way the frosting and the cake melt in your mouth.YUM. BMaston12

I wouldn't say it was any healthier than most other cakes ~ it is a chocolate cake with red food coloring and normally topped with cream cheese icing.  I won 1st prize at the county fair when I was in middle school with my Red Velvet Cake entry!

I have never tried Red Velvet Cake but since it is chocolate with red coloring I may try it in the future since I just love chocolate.

It's not healthier than any other cake, but it is definitely a lot prettier

I don't know if it's healthier than other cakes - probably not.  But it's more delicious than a lot of other cakes.

Cake is cake. If anything red velvet is richer than some other cakes

love it for my birthday probably not as healthy as some cakes with red dye in it.
