class ring from High School

I heard a story of a lady in her sixties who had her high school class ring replaced. Her high school sent it to her as a surprise. She is a public person who is on TV.
I contacted my high school and got no such affirmation. I found out that Walmart will recreate the ring for customers from graduating classes of the past.

I still have my class ring.  It's probably in the bottom of my jewerly box.  I think I stopped wearing it probably 1 year after I graduated.

Actually, I just looked at my class ring yesterday. I no longer wear it.

I still have mine but I pretty much stopped wearing it like a month after I got it.  I hated high school and have no fond memories of it.  I only got the ring (the cheapest one they had) because of the ring ceremony (I didn't even go to the ring dance) and it seemed like everyone else was getting one.  I have no sentimental attachment to it.  Decades later it's still sitting in my jewelry box not sure what to do with it.

i never really understood the hype about the high school class ring either... i never ordered one.

Mine got stolen about 20 years ago.  It was in my jewelry box.  Some small person, perhaps a kid initiating to a gang, broke in and threw most of my jewelry into one of my pillow cases, along with my camera, and made off with it.  I'm not interested in trying to replace that ring, other items were more important.

I no longer have mine it was stolen. I worked for 2 years saving money so I could have an emerald instead of the green glass. I still look in *bleep* shops when we are in the town where it was stolen. I would know it because of  the school and my name in it. I hate losing it, because I really enjoyed school and had a lot of friends there.

Well, I haven't lost mine or anything.  I never got one!!  I knew I would never wear it and didn't want one.  I haven't rethought that decision once.

I kind of still have my class ring.  I stopped wearing it a year or so after graduating high school and put it away in my grandmothers jewelry box with her jewelry.

On January 3, 2012 my house caught fire was a complete loss.  The fire was so bad the firemen just basically had to stand there and watch it burn and make sure the fire didn't spread.  I lost everything from pets (4 dogs and 2 cats) to my grandmother's ashes.  I kept the jewelry box in a drawer of chest that stood in the corner of my bedroom.  The urn that held my grandmothers ashes as well as four smaller urns that held four of my dogs that had passed away sat on top of that chest.  Right now, my class ring is buried under the ash from the fire as well as my grandmother's ashes and my pets ashes.  I've not wanted to dig any of the jewelry out because I didn't want to disturb the ashes that are on top of them.  I keep that area of the burned out house protected from the weather as, for me, that's sort of like a burial plot as that is where my grandmother and my pets came to rest.

It was a lovely ring that my grandmother had bought for me my senior year.  Antiqued white gold with a black onyx stone in it.  It had the honors symbol on one side and a nature scene on the other.  My name was engraved and antiqued on the underside of the ring.  I loved that ring.

I do have mine, but I never wear it. I really dont know why i bought it. I think high school class rings are a waste of $ and wish I hadnt bought it.
