I think I have achieved excellence and I did it exactly how your quote said you can't. I retired and had nothing to do with all the time I had, so I got online and started looking for ways to improve my skills and use them to make some extra money. I had no plan (and still don't), but spend time stumbling around doing what comes along and I have done it long enough now that I have become excellent at achieving my original goal.
