I knew we were coming home to my mom's house and that my brother was having a New Years party we were invited to. (Wasn't real thrilled about going over there for various reasons but...) As it turns out my mom wasn't feeling very well and neither was I so she begged off with my brother and we ended up playing cards. We finished the hand we were on with 15 seconds left till the ball dropped. My 12 year old was in mom's room watching TV and started counting down and ran in to us to finish and we( my oldest daughter, mom, husband and myself) put the volume back up on the TV behind us and finished the count with the little one. She was so thrilled that she actually stayed up and got to see the ball drop in NY. Not to mention seeing 1D performing 3 different times.

It's over now lol, but I'm getting old...don't go out to celebrate anymore.  I pretty much waited on my son to get off of work, wished him happy new year and went to bed.
