Are there reasons other than Love to marry someone?  Let me know your thoughts and opinions.  Have your ever known someone who married for other than Love?  Did the marriage last?

There are many reasons to get married but only one is the right one

Even when you think you are getting married for love, the other person may be just playing you. I know. I married for love and ended up being a punching bag to a drunk, I did not even know he drank  to excess, because he never did it around me until after we had been married about 3 months.  Needless to say a year later I was gone.

There are those who marry for money.Along with money comes security. Then there are those who marry for companionship. They find someone with the same likes and dislikes and marry them so they won't have to be alone. I found my true love and was married for 39 years before he died. I am not looking for another partner. No one will ever replace who I lost.

Of course we live in a selfish,ME world and many marry for other reasons!!But if we marry for the TRUE meaning of LOVE the marriage will last forever happily!

There are many other reasons to marry a person but, whatever a person chooses is of course,up to the individual and while it might fit that persons' needs, it doesn't mean it fits anyone elses.  One thing is for sure, you and you alone must live with the decision.
