Paid to Call

I have a question.  I have not done one of these in a really long time.  There are 2 available to me at this time.  To me it is kind of difficult because you do not know who you are calling.  For example:  the one that was up for a while about windows.  I desperately need new windows for my home and am very interested in new windows especially if I can get a good deal.  But when you look at the offer and call the number generated for you, what are you suppose to say?  I found this random ad for windows on the internet?  Who would actually call something like that when they have no idea who the company is?  Because you are not told that in the info you are given. 

Also, it seems so odd that advertisers would pay $2 to each person who calls that number.  I know they do pay because I have done it before.  But most people who do these offers are not actually looking for whatever the offer is for but just looking for the $2 they get paid to call.

Will also add --- It most certainly does result in unwanted call backs.  I done 2 a couple of years ago and both of them like to have aggravated the snot out of me calling me trying to get me to sign up for their offer.  One of them was to purchase something for a significant amount of money and he even insulted me because I told him I had to talk to my husband before I made any decisions.
