I don't know what to believe yet. I have to wait and see what Bill Cosby has to say when he's ready to start talking.

I don't think he is going to talk.  And IF this is true he is not going to admit to any of it.  At this point it really does not matter because everyone is dropping him and his shows so whether it is true or not his rep is ruined.

I remember hearing allegations against him several years ago.  I think it is even more suspicious that he has paid women off in the past to keep quiet.

How do you know this? How did you hear about this allegation against him several years ago? Do you have a link to provide that talks about it several years ago?

This is such a stupid comment.  There is not a "link" to everything in the world on the internet.
And what the other poster said is true.  He was accused several years ago of sexual assault.  And if you read the news reports and listen to the news reports that are all over the news today they are saying the exact same thing.  He was accused several years ago.  He even paid one to shut up.  No, I don't have a link.  And no, I am not going to look for one.  I KNOW what I saw on the news and that is good enough for me.

*******************

I read a few minutes ago where he supposedly paid 8 different women money years ago.  Money to the tune of $2000 a piece.  Supposedly he was having an affair with these women.  This I can believe.  But if he had an affair then they were willing participating.  I do not believe he raped anyone.  They wanted it at the time and now they want money.

That is your opinion. If you do not like what I'm saying, please do not read my post. I'm not here to argue with you.

I hope it is not true. I wouldn't think it was true but who really knows.

If all the allegations are "true", I don't understand why they all just now felt a need to come forward about it.  I'm not sure what they hope to gain after all this time...    If they are true, they should have spoken up a long time ago & all the others could have been avoided.

Decided to weigh in. First, let me say I believe something happened with some of the women, but not all of them. I'm not necessarily saying sexual assault. Affair maybe? All of this is my opinion.
I've been reading the comments and some people are asking why these women are coming forward now instead of saying something 30 or so years ago. Unless you have had something similar happen to you, no one can understand what is going through a person's mind when they've had an ordeal like an assault. Maybe some want money, maybe not. None of us knows. We can only speculate. Maybe he did something. Maybe not. As an observer (since I wasn't there), I'm just going to wait to see how this all plays out before I make any judgements.

It's no harder to believe than all the priests convicted of child molestation.
