Unbelievable!
« on: November 09, 2014, 10:12:30 pm »
I look out my window the other day about 8am to see a guy with a lawn mower, MOWING THE STREET :o
I thought he was just going across the street with it but NO he was going back and forth between the curbs for like 10 minutes :o it was also starting to rain.  I can't believe that he was actually doing this and that no cars ever came while he did it :o  He finally went inside I guess he realized mowing the street was a bigger task than he bargained for when he looked how much more he would have to do :D CRAZY HUH?

Wow, is this the same person who turns on the lawn sprinkler which ends up watering the concrete more than the lawn?!?!

Was this lawn mower man older?  Do you think he had all of his mental faculties?  I've seen cases where people, as they age, can't do what they used to even though they really want to.  It's quite sad to see the unusual results of that.

Then again, I don't know if that's the case with the man you're describing.  Keep us informed.

Do you  live up north? Here in MN we had several neighbors running the gas out of their mower for the season, sometimes just going back and forth across their driveway... Keeping gas in a mower over the winter can cause the gas to go old, causing problems with the fuel line come the spring. And with winter storm warnings for the next few days, everyone has pretty much decided that there won't be any more mowing to do.

Everything is done for a reason whether you know of it or not. Many have reasons for doing the things they do.

To each their own as long as they aren't hurting anyone or anything.  He was probably trying to drain his gas tank out before putting it up for the winter.
Have a wonderful day!

Yes. That is very odd. I wonder what he was thinking. Was he trying to get rid of trash. The street certainly does not have growing grass! I could find better ways to excercise and save that gas money!

Sounds like he was draining the gas tank, which is a normal thing to do before winter.

I was thinking he might have been sleep walking before I read about using up the gas.  That makes a lot of sense.  My brother lives in Michigan and he has his riding mower picked up, maintained and stored for the winter.  :snowflake:

Well, it would be easier to just tilt the mower over and dump the gas out or buy one of them little gadgets that suctions it out.
