Does music impact you? Your emotions? Your mood? etc.

Music brings back memories for me which are clear as crystal. I can be in my car travelling to town and when I hear a piece of music I haven't heard for years, it takes me right back. I remember where I was, who I was with, what mood I was in at the time. I think it can also have healing effects because on occasion, if I'm feeling a little low, I can put on some music and instantly I feel a little better.

I like music but only select songs. I like older music the best anyway.

What would this world be like without music?  It would be a very boring place.  Music always makes me feel better.

Music helps me feel relaxed, feel nostalgic, keeps me occupied, puts me in a better mood, brings me closer to other people, etc. I tend to use more easy listening and softener music for the most party.  No rap or heavy metal for me generally.

Music, for many, is a life-saving outlet and yet, for many others it can be devastating.  For me it is an uplifting part of my day.

Music makes me feel better when I'm sad or angry. It also inspires me, heightens a mood or makes me feel...sexy.

Well, I could probably bore you on this subject for hours.  I listen to a lot of classical music--and, more than anything I know, this music reminds me of how the human spirit can triumph in so many ways.

Bach?  He died blind and broke at the age of 65, but he is considered one of the world's greatest today.  Beethoven was deaf.  Gustav Mahler died of a congenital heart defect at age 50.  And Robert Schumann died at the age of 37--in an asylum no less.  But all of them left behind compositions that stir our hearts and minds and souls to this very day.  Of all humankind's achievements I truly believe music comes closest to being directly from God.

Music affects my everyday life. It depends on my mood and emotions.

It depends on what I'm listening to.  If I'm exposed to music that carries the energy of "noise" I turn it off or remove myself so I no longer have to deal with it.

I'm also selective about what I listen to, like most people.  Lately, I've been listening to Chakra healing music so I can align my energy with that vibration.  My default is set on being happy so I consciously listen to music to increase my joy.

Some music is pretty depressing. So, I go for the cheer-me-up music.
