I'd be devastated!!  My parents have been together for 29 years... they were high school sweethearts and still sometimes act like it!!  I can't imagine my parents ever splitting much less leaving in such a way!  How sad!  Did this happen??

My parents were together for about 18 years and they got divorced.  My father decided after the divorce, he would not be a part of my life.  At first it hurt, but I was an adult and I soon got over it.  Now that I have children he wants to be a part of their lives.  I have decided I'm not ready for him to just "walk back" into my life.  I feel like he might get involved with them and just "dump" them.  Not sure if that is the right decision, but for now, that is how it is.  Hopefully one day I will let him be a part of their lives.

yes thisis happenng right now i am 28 and a mother of a beautiful babygirl who is only 17 mths but he has been a wonderful gradfather till he met this woman and now he ignores my daughter she yells papaw i love u and he keeps walking its pissing me off i cant wait till he is totally gone out of our lives i know im an adult but it still hurts like hell
