Christmas Trees

I can't deny that I love, love, love the smell of real Christmas trees and love to visit people who have taken the time to cut down a real tree, transport and decorate it at this festive time of year. However, I adore Christmas trees so much that I personally could never consider cutting down a tree just for the sake of one month's pleasure only to then be tossed onto a recyclable (at best) garden waste heap. I love to grow trees and I know how long they take to grow 6 feet tall. I just end the life of a tree for that purpose. However, I do decorate my evergreens in the garden with lights etc so they continue to bring me pleasure every year.

I love the smell of a real Christmas Tree, but if I put one up, I put up an artificial tree. For the last 2 years, I haven't put up a tree because I'm at my daughter's house for Christmas.

I have two artificial trees, one I put on our coffee table the other one is not much larger but it came with lights. I love the smell of real trees too, but don't like the mess.

We have an artificial tree. Real ones smell good but after a while they start to dry out and the pine needles get all over.

I love live trees and the wonderful smell and the ambience it brings into the home.  It may take a while to decorate, but that is Christmas is all about.  When I put up a tree its got to be a real tree not silver, purple etc.
