Playing Games Online
« on: October 11, 2014, 03:12:34 pm »
Do you play games online?

I've never played video games at home; however, I currently log into Worldwinner each night to play a few games and participate in activities on that site.

I like the site because I can earn rewards for playing a "freeplay" game each day.  The reward points can be redeemed for game credits where I can compete with others on the site or for an Amazon gift certificate after I accumulate a certain number of points.  My favorite games are Solitaire and Bejeweled 2.

They also have a casino games section where I sometimes play Bingo or slots.  I can also redeem the tokens I earn for prizes in that section.

Do you have a favorite site where you play games?  If so, why do you like it?

Have a great day!

Yes I do. I mainly play online games on Swagbucks since it is free and you earn 2 swag bucks for each two games you play with a maximum of 10 swagbucks per day for playing games.

I used to do so a while back but not anymore, unless I'm on my PS3 which I hardly play these days.

I am not into online games really.  I feel like I could be using my time in a better way.  Like making money...so i have played some on sites like you mentioned.

I sometimes play online games. However the games that I like are usually RPGs or 4X type of strategy, and it's difficult to find good ones in those genres on-line. For MMORPGs, they tend to get a bunch of (what I think of as) kids that play as munchkins (using / abusing the rules to get ahead even if it hurts others) like the ones that hang back in the fight, but then quickly try to scavenge all of the loot after the fight is over (or maybe even while the fight is going on and the other players are busy fighting). And as for strategy, there's a bunch of battle-oriented games, but a true 4X has multiple ways of winning... After all, 4X stands for "eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate" and "exterminate" is only one way to win, but other 4X games have ways of winning by achieving a certain research level, controlling a certain land and/or population size, or having a certain amount of wealth. And there are different avenues of getting these like trade and/or diplomacy that these newer games tend to lack.

I used to play at Winster.com... They too have credits that you win and can trade in for different gift certificates and prizes. But after awhile, they were airing too many ads (esp. in side-banners etc.) that the system got too sluggish. So eventually I just stopped going to that site. Still I did get a few GCs while I was active, which is always nice to get prizes for playing games.

I am a frequent player of Words With Friends on Facebook. It is sort of like Scrabble, but is easier because the game reports to you whether the word you are playing is actually a word or not. It also tells you how many points you will get if you play that word. I don't bet on the games, though, so earn no money playing it. I particularly like the Smart Match feature of the game that matches you up with a player of similar ability to you from all around the country.

I played World winner, some games on gsn, I guess I just lost interest. I'm still with pogo.com, although I haven't played in a long time. Now I seem to hooked on spider solitaire. :)

I recently learned to play Hearts online.
I like to play Scrabble most of all.
I don't mind if I play with real people or robots.
I go to a website for Texas Hold Em poker once in a great while.

I used to play games online.  It was fun & new.   The novelty wore off fast & I have stopped totally; mostly due to the "discovery" of these PTC sites that are fun & new & best of all profitable.   Best use of my time for sure :)
