Ditto. Our family has actually gone to a few Wild games... We have extended family that lives in the Twin Cities, so they tend to go quite often, and every once in awhile we'll join them. The Xcel Energy Center (the place where the Wild plays at home) has these standing room "seats" behind the lower deck sections where the price is much cheaper than normal seats. Those seats allow you to watch the match (and I think have a better view than upper-deck seats), and the railing that you stand in front of is flat and wide allowing you to set down any food / drink. The only problem is that you are standing the entire time, but considering that the main aisle (where all of the shops and restrooms are) is right behind you, if your feet get a little sore, you can always walk around for a bit without distracting anyone or getting in their view of the game.

I guess you would call me a "typical" Canadian as I love hockey!  I grew up in a suburb of Vancouver, B.C. and have been a Canucks fan even before they got an NHL franchise.  Unfortunately, they are one of the most snake bitten teams ever in the league.  Should have won the Stanley Cup at least once but not to be...sigh.  Used to see quite a few games back when I lived in the Vancouver area but haven't been to a game in years.  Still watch them on the internet these days.
