Tasks not working

So, I've been doing the 5-cent investment tasks for the past several days, since I can't do videos, due to my aunt using up my data allowance. But today, I can't do tasks either. I get to the part where I have to click the Bookmarklet to get the countdown timer, and I keep getting the error message: "Error! It appears you are not currently working on a task. Please start a new task and follow the directions you find there." Which of course is a lie. This happened to me before using Chrome, but it's been working fine until today in IE. I tried to put in a help ticket to Crowdflower, but the ticket form wouldn't load. I don't know what else to do!

I have been avoiding the tasks. I know a lot of people get most of their earnings from there but I just stick with the surveys and other easy offers

sometimes I get that error too but finish the task and get credited for it... try doing that and see what happens

When that happens, I just hit the orange "Click this to start this job" button again and continue on. It usually works and then you can finish the task.

I'm still getting the error that says I'm not allowed, and I get it with every single task, no matter the level.

I haven't had this happen to me. But I would try what skippymcnapper said, click the orange button. Definitely worth a try. I hope you are able to figure this out

Good news, people! The videos have started back up again!

When that happens to me I go back to the task page and click the orange button and then I go back to the web page and click the bookmarklet. When that message appear that you just mentioned, reclick the orange button and then click the bookmarklet. It works for me.

If you get that error message, just click on the orange button to start task again.  The Sat tasks are Legal Zoom and all are working!

I have never been able to get that book marklet to work. Stopped trying.

 Me either. I have never been able to get it to work for me. I just gave up and do other tasks.

I have always had some difficulty with these tasks and sometimes I just so frustrated I may not try another task for a week or two.

I have not been able to get the bookmarklet tasks to work for me for quite a while.  I did complete a few once upon a time, but lately I can't get the timer to come up.  I am glad to know about the orange button.  That gives me hope for the next time I get adventurous enough to try one of these tasks.

That happens to me a lot. Sometimes clicking the orange button again works.
