Are You Living or Surviving

There were definitely times when I was just surviving during some low moments in my life. I felt like if I could just get through the day, tomorrow would be better. I was in a dark place but I do recall feeling more positive during the daylights hours than when the sun went down. Right now though, I am definitely living. I now have two wonderful sons who drive me up the wall constantly. My oldest son's teacher has called me at home to say my son talks too much in class and has even been told off for throwing pencils. Quite honestly though, all I can see is that I am blessed to have two wonderful sons!

Sometimes I feel like I am surviving, but most of the time I am living.

Totally in survival mode.  I have absolutely no life other than making money to pay for my family. I work at least eighty hours per week with small breaks to watch the kid's sporting events or drive them someplace. I work out twice per week and the most fun I have for myself is making a few extra pennies here and there from sites like this for reinvestment.  I am pretty competitive and compete with myself in making money and hitting all of my goals for the year. I am ahead of the curve right now and driven to go even further but definitely surviving and not living. I guess I live for my kids and wife...the non-identity of being a loving father.

I am surviving and I have the freedom to do a lot of the things I want to do.  I survive first; which is, my highest priority and I do my best to focus on all the ways that I'm blessed with opportunities to enjoy life.

Anyone who can survive, as an individual, is doing pretty good from.....

I would say it is a little bit of both. Some days its survival than others it is really living.

Surviving now....................but I keep thinking that living will be happening really soon.  I  have put in about 45 applications in the last 10 days so that I might get a job for the holidays.  That way, I could get out of most of our debt.  The less stress, and we could enjoy life a lot better.  Please send good thoughts my way for a job soon!

I definitely believe that I am simply surviving. No, correction, I am BARELY surviving. My career has been in a slump for quite some time. And it is difficult to see others less deserving than myself getting all of the opportunities that I should have received.

I was reading in a devotional yesterday about living or surviving. If you're always running from something or to something you're surviving. As I look at my own life I feel as though I'm surviving. What are your thoughts?
