Joan Rivers Dies

Comedian Joan Rivers has died.  She was 81 years old. She will be greatly missed.  May she rest in peace.

RIP Joan.  I had seen her perform and I must say she was a very funny lady.

I'm not really a fan but my parents are. Mom didn't even know about what happened last week until I told her. Guess when I talk to her tonight I have to tell her this too.

I was saddened to see that on the news this afternoon.  She was a courageous lady who got into comedy when there were only a couple of women in that part of entertainment - a trailblazer, as she has been called.  As much as she poked fun at other people in "the business," she also laughed at herself.  I was surprised to read that, shortly before she died, she had "6M" tattooed on her arm - for 6 million Jews that were exterminated.

Wow.  I didn't realize until I read this that she was gone.  She was a dynamic personality like Robin Williams.  I think she inspired a percentage of people with her abilities.
