A lead or supervisor that calls a woman a hoe
« on: August 18, 2014, 12:51:10 am »
Why would a company allow someone as unprofessional as this guy to lead a department?

WhenI I first came to his department, my name was "Hey" Or with 2 fingers in his mouth. a whistle and then Hey  when
He wanted me to do something.

I finally got him to call me by my name but his pronunciation sucks.

He sometimes completely ignores me when I ask him questions such as Can I go to the ladies?
Or where do you want me to work?

He has used that word that start with a p and ends with a y when referring to a woman's vagina.

He has playfully chased his click of buddies around with a switch blade in our department.

He jokes and playfully runs around the office and his click of boys get to slack off of work with him because of
their special relationship with him.

He talks loud and laughs loud and anything might come out of his mouth.

He practically got up in my face as if he wanted to fight.

Oh and he has harrassed me in the past.

Some of management officials are afraid of him.

Quality control employees want me to go into the office on him because of how he has talked to me and treated me and allow others  to do so as well. >:(

If there's something I learned working for many different companies in the past, it's that life is ever-changing.

What does this means is that there is no foolproof way to promote or even recognize employee personality characteristics. The nicest guy could get promoted to the top, but then act like a tool afterwards.

I guess if he called you a hoe, you would be OK calling him a rake or a shovel?

I'd go with "rake" as that can also mean a womanizer of immoral character...

Seriously, if this is a constant harassment, I'd suggest reporting him to his supervisor. If he's known to do this under certain situations (eg when you talk with him in his office, in meetings, etc.), perhaps you can arrange to tape him (with a cassette tape used for recording lectures) so as to have proof to substantiate your claims of harassment.

Start at his supervisor and go up.  Hostile work place.

I agree with your previous responder who advised recording his daily antics. There is nothing worse than feeling so strongly about something, plucking up courage to make a stand about it only to be asked, where's the proof. Whilst people are encouraging you to take it higher, who will stand beside you when you state your case - my guess is none, as they are too afraid to stand up and be counted. So assume you will go it alone but get your evidence together before you stand your ground. Good luck!

I'm not at all surprised... You should hear what goes on in the Army... And people frown upon that kinda behavior, harrassment, even domestic violence but don't do anything about it.

There is no reason to be calling you names. I put up with one creep until I could find another job. One creep I decked because he pinched me on the bottom. Yep he got me fired. Never again. Go to home office and tell them you want to file sexual harresment. You may get laid off, but it is worth it. because if you do go to a lawyer and file  on him. Yes I have done it also. He got fired and I took his job.

He sounds like he doesn't need to be in a leadership position.  He is childish and very disrespectable to his fellow co-workers.  This has to be some kind of harassment.

This IS some kind of harassment.  He is a bully and a evil person.  I agree with trying to record his tirades before you do anything else, if, indeed, you plan to stay there.  As far as I'm concerned, I think life is too short to have to put up with that madness, for even one day.  I have left jobs that were similar to this.

well, I don't know what kind of a "company" you work for but in my best estimation you should have a telephone # that you can call to report this type of behavior because honestly - it is sexual harrassment as well as intimidation.  I wish you good luck.
