It's your money, you can spend it on what makes you happy.

I tried it a couple times.  It wasn't worth it to me because they couldn't hold up to garden work....and I'm always in the garden.

Only when my nails have broken and I need them to look nice for an event do I go out and get some of the press on nails. But the last time that happened was about 2 years ago... But my nails grow fast so....

I think that's a great idea if you don't mind the type of maintenance that goes along with those types of nails. I have difficulty getting my nails to grow too, but I find it difficult to keep artificial nails on my fingers. So I use nail strengthener and take vitamins to give my natural nails a little boost.

When I was working, I used to enjoy having acylic nails and all the maintenance that goes with it, even though it was a little expensive. But the visual happiness these gave me, and probably confidence to boot, was well worth the money. However now that I am a housewife and spend most of my time doing the washing up, cleaning the laundry and mowing the lawn etc, there is little point in putting on fancy nails unless I have a special occasion. Putting on acylic nails brings back fond memories.

I used to have my nails done regularly. I then realised how much I was spending on manicures and learned to do it myself. I keep my nails shortish- breakage is now not an issue.

I don't wear my nails long anymore.  I keep them trimmed short.  I have never been to a nail salon.....

My nails break easy even though they grow.  I tried fake nails once but I was aware of the feeling of having something on the ends of my nails and it bothered me.  Can't afford it anyway.  I just keep them relatively short and try to paint them.  What I am unhappy with is my toe nails I can't reach them due to back & leg problems and the last time I went to get a pedi I ended up with a nail fungus..................so................................ :P

I think 4 weeks is enough for me to cut my nails... I use files if I need to shape my nail better then the nail clipper can do
