Health Issue: Does anyone know?
« on: July 16, 2014, 12:49:01 pm »
My LFTs have been high for 2 months now.

I'm getting worried and I want to get them back to normal. Anyone know how to accomplish this? I tried to find info on line, but no luck except what they could represent.

Liver function tests?

You can help the liver function better by taking in less artificial ingredients and alcohol.  You also need citrus: lemons and limes in particular.  Use real lemons and limes.  You can squeeze them into tea, on vegetables or just into water.  Tasty, natural and good for you.  ;)

Thanks. Interesting about the lemon and limes.  I don't drink either.  I'm supposed to get another test at the end of next month. Boy....get rid of all my specialists and now have to deal with this. I'm so sick of doctors anymore. I've had more doctors appointments in 2-1/2 years than I've had in 30 years and I'm sick of them.

Being healthy and staying healthy takes time and effort.  One has to do the do's and avoid the don'ts.  CharmedPheonix gave some excellent advice as the Liver functions as the bodies "detoxifier" and waste eliminator.  The body has a problem with artificial ingredients and alcohol.  Over time things like refined sugar, processed foods, lack of exercise, drugs and alcohol have many damaging effects on the body.  Getting back to a whole foods and primarily a plant based diet combined with daily activity (exercise) can solve and possibly reverse many diseased and troubling conditions.

I hear you.  I don't care for modern medicine much.  It's becoming more integrated though.  Everything is connected: body, mind and spirit, not to mention all the organs/systems in the body.  We're walking around in biological machines that require natural fuel.  We do not get ill for lack of drugs or an excess of body parts.  If you put the wrong type of fuel in your car's fuel tank it won't run well yet we put the all sorts of artificial stuff into our bodies and wonder why they don't work right.  :dontknow: ::) :silly:

I don't really know but when you watch commercials certain medications have to be monitored due to problems with the liver so your doctor is suppose to check it every three months to make sure that your medications are not causing problems or affecting the liver and making it shut down.  Are your eyes yellowish where it should be white?  If so that is one of the signs of liver failure.

No, my eyes are normal (except for cataracts, astigmatism and near-sighted)  :glasses-nerdy:  .

Like i said before, I don't drink. I don't eat pies, cake, candy, or anything with a lot of sugar,  including a lot of fruit, except what's in food and  I only use 1 tsp. in 1 cup of coffee a day.  I never did eat those things all my life. You could say I'm a "sours" person. My only vice is chocolate ice cream 2-3 times a week in the summer.  ;D

I just bought Truvia because I had a sample a couple months ago and liked it. So I'm going to use that in my coffee, cutting back little by little until I no longer it at all in my coffee.

Stevia in the Raw is better than Truvia because it's more natural.  Truvia is based on stevia, but man's messed with it.  Artificial sweeteners are related to a lot of health problems, as are processed foods.  Monk Fruit in the Raw is good too.  Some say to sweeten coffee with cinnamon.  I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but cinnamon is good for you, it balances your blood sugar.

Sorry, when you said "Interesting about the lemon and limes.  I don't drink either."  I thought you meant you didn't drink lemon or lime juice.  It's good you don't drink alcohol.
