I do believe in God, I haven't been to worship in a long time but it's not because I disagree but I have done things I can't forgive myself for and until than how can I ask him to forgive me?  I tried to ask for forgiveness but I start crying.  I didn't hurt or kill anyone but I don't want to be a hypocrites there are to many of them around already.  Right now I can't ask him for anything right now.

Every one sins and falls short of the Glory of God.  No one is perfect.  I saw a quote once that said something to the effect of  "So far today I have not had any bad thoughts, I have not said anything negative, or done anything wrong....but I am going to be getting up soon so Lord be with me and help me thru the day"  Or something like that.  Point is even if they think otherwise no one is any better than you.  If you see a person of the opposite sex and just take a second look you have already committed adultery in your heart.   Gossip is a sin.  Don't know too many people who do not listen is something juicy is being said or that does not talk about others.

Point is whatever you are talking about God will forgive you and you are not a hypocrite for sinning.  Being saved does not mean you are perfect just forgiven.  And if somebody knows what ever it is you are talking about and tries to say you are bad and should not be in church then they have issues of their own.

I know you're really not supposed to question God but I would ask what was my sister's purpose in life. I was taught that when you completed your purpose in life God calls you home. Well she got called home in 2011 I just want to know why.

Carmex......questioning God is ok......

Abraham questioned God right before HE destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.

Genesis 18:16-33

The scripture "Time and unforseen occurrence befalls everyone" is a GREAT one to know.It explains why things happen.Being in wrong place at wrong time for example.

I'd ask how it is humans supposedly have free will, yet God supposedly knows everything you will  ever do and say in your entire life, he is supposedly all knowing and all seeing. The two terms contradict each other.

Raven, you make it sound like God would have NO control of knowing all the time!!

He can choose when and when NOT to.

EX.....if he knew Adam and Eve would sin and disobey why would HE bother warning them of consequence of rebellion?

HE chose NOT to know that.

On the other hand Jesus knew Jerusalem would fall in 70CE.He warned his followers when the Roman army surrounded the city <as they did>in 66CE to flee. Those that saw this knew the sign and left. Those that didnt were killed or captured yrs later in 70 ce.

Its like saying God knew Satan would rebel also.Cant a good mom and dad raise a son up that turns into being a thief?
Satan rebelled on his own and sinned as A&E willfully did and they did it on their own.

I have a list of special questions I want to ask God when I get to heaven.  There are a few things I don't understand.

I believe in God because when I pray all my questions are answered immediately. Even when I died for five minutes when I was twenty-three I thought I was going to stay dead but God told me my job wasn't done yet and I had to go back and continue my work. Also when I was told I was going to die I knew I wasn't because I knew my job wasn't done. By the way I was told three times at different ages. the most recent was the year 2000. I know my job isn't done because there are many times thoughts come into my head that I don't really know and I find myself telling strangers these thoughts. As far as someone dying early in life they must have completed their purpose for being here. That is probably why my brother died at 28 years old. May he rest in peace.
