Survey Rant
« on: July 07, 2014, 08:25:24 pm »
I rarely get upset when I don't qualify for surveys --- I'm near 60, no kids at home and retired.  When i do, it is awesome.

Tonight, I got an email with .Easy Mobile Phone Study".  NONE of the questions related to mobile phones and most of them asked about my company.... I am retired.  I have no company.   I really do not like it when I don't have the option to answer honestly.   There wasn''t an option for "I dont work".

Ok, rant over. I got my 1cent DQ bonus!

I am in a similiar position and I have had a survey or 2 like that. I have to agree it is a little annoying since I have stated I am retired.

I agree!  I would much rather be DQ'd than be put in a position where I have to answer dishonestly because the available answers are too limited.  In my opinion, every question should come with an "Other" or "None of the Above" option!

Agreed.

I've taken part in surveys where I answer "Not currently employed" for one question then another question comes up and asks "What position in  your company are you apart of?" and there's no "None" option just a list of job positions.

I'm with you on the company surveys.  Am also retired and get upset when those surveys come up.  A waste of my time.

Since you mention it there a few surveys that specify one thing and asks you question in a whole different spectrum.

That happens to me alot too to where the survey is nothing like what it says. I'm unemployed so those job surveys I can't do either. When I get them they can be frustrating for me too. Here lately I haven't been qualifying for much surveys and there was days that no surveys showed up at all during this weekend.

I'm a stay at home mom and I hate when I get survey questions that don't have an option for me to state that I'm not employed.

I Get That Once In A While. I Will See A Survey About A Fast Food Study And Will Ask Me My Age, Race and City. Then It Happens, DQ. What Was The Subject Again? :peace:

I don't see what sense it makes to have questions unrelated to the subject of a specific survey. All that ends up happening is a disqualification. These sites always say they're good for housewives and students and such but as soon as I put that I'm a housewife I get kicked off.

This happened to me before. I got a survey on grocery shopping I was invited to but instead it was about movies and films which were irrelevant. I understand your frustration but hopefully the admin will fix this problem.

I just had one of those yesterday. I've been unemployed and was forced to retire in 2010 since no one wants to hire someone 60 or older anymore.  Yet, there was no way for me to get out of that survey except to close it, which meant I didn't even get a DQ bonus.  Wasn't fair.

I usually just pick a random thing to continue until I get to a question where there is a not applicable option

That happens a lot when you take a survey. Take a survey for pets and before you know it they are asking about your investable assets. I do not know what that has to do with my cat.
